Strategy

Normal

Ground Phase

The tank on this phase should always keep Slabhide faced away from the rest of the group to avoid Sand Blast damage being dealt to the group members.

This phase of the fight is fairly simple but can get out of hand if the healer cannot reach the group members to heal. The Stalactite's left behind after each Air Phase cause Line of Sight (LoS) issues so it is very easy for the tank to become out of reach for the healer as well as other group members. Because of this, its important that all group members watch the damage they take.

Slabhide will randomly cast Eruption under someone in the group fairly frequently. This is shown as a small cloud of dust under the targeted persons feet and that person should move immediately to avoid the damage.

Air Phase

Every so often, Slaghide will lift off from the ground and cast Stalactite for about 15 seconds which will cause Stalactites to fall from the ceiling. Everyone in the group should avoid standing in the shadowy spots on the ground as that is where these large rock chunks will fall. The group should also avoid standing in any Lava Pools that havent yet despawned.

Heroic

Ground Phase

All remains the same as on Normal except for increased amounts of damage from both Sand Blast and Eruption so its more important for position awareness for Line of Sight and group members doing their best to avoid the damage.

After Slaghide's first liftoff he will start casting Crystal Storm every so often. This needs to be avoided by all group members by placing a Stalactite between them and Slaghide, losing Line of Sight (LoS) and avoiding the damage from this ability. Try to be more than 10 yards away from the boss when hiding behind a Stalactite as sometimes the game bugs and considers you within LoS if you are 10yrds or less from the boss.

Air Phase

Exactly the same as Normal mode.
