Wowhead.com offers an online database of quests, items, achievements, etc. This wiki is able to support the colorized linking of items and the mouseover description tooltips for them as well by using specific code within a wiki page.
Loot Items
You can show an Item Tooltip and colorized link on any wiki page by finding the WoWhead itemid number and enclosing it within <item> and </item>
The following code:
<item>44092</item>
will show the following within a wiki page
[Reforged Truesilver Champion]If you want to only show the item's icon with a mouseover tooltip, you can use the following code:
<itemico>44092</itemico>
Other WoWhead Database Items
Spells, Abilities, Achievements, and Quests can all be linked like normal outside wiki links to the wowhead.com address and will also automatically provide the proper mouseover for that item.
