The Twilight dragonflight is a dragonflight created by the results of magical experiments carried out by Sintharia upon dragon eggs. Using ancient dragon artifacts and the powers of the Nether Dragons, Sintharia has created a new breed of dragons that feed vampirically on all forms of mystical energy. The first encounter of these dragons with the outside world was by Krasus, Kalec, and the draenei priestess Iridi. Iridi thought of their appearance not as shadow, but more akin to the day turning to night, like twilight as experienced on Azeroth. She thus dubbed them twilight dragons.

Description
Twilight dragons resemble black dragons, but they glow with a greenish, red, or, more commonly, amethyst light. The earliest twilight dragons created by Sintharia had the ability to feed off of magical energy, particularly enemy dragons. The later dragons, those raised by Deathwing, may have similar abilities.
An adult Twilight Dragon has a row of spines rising up to 110 cm from its hips. Other dragons lack this feature. They also have 3 spikes extending from each side of their lower jaws, plus a pair of tusk like fangs from their uper jaws, each one pointing backwards and up to 2 meters. Their large horns, nearly 2.75 meters, are so connected together that they resemble a colossus blade in shape. They also have 3 spines on the forearm and thumb of their wings. They're also the same size as a regular adult dragon, just 6 meters tall, 65 meters long, 120 meters in wingspan and weighing about 9,520 kilograms - Dargonax himself was slightly larger than other dragons, being the same size as the Dragon Aspects.
Culture
Since the Twilight Dragonflight is created by corrupting the eggs from other dragonflights, it is considered an abomination race of dragons by the other flights except for the Black Dragonflight.
In addition, since they "reproduce" with the use of other flight eggs, they dont actually have an aspect or leader of their own. The Twilight Dragonflight takes its orders and direction from the leaders of the Black Dragonflight and is usually considered part of the Black Dragonflight rather than its own separate flight.
Nomenclature
Naming for the Twilight brood seems to have names ending in "on" for males and "na" for females. This naming standard didnt seem to start until Cataclysm as Tenebron is a female Twilight dragon in Obsidian Sanctum.
